Position: Consulting Analyst

Position Overview

Decision Resources Group (DRG), offers best-in-class, high-value information and insights on important sectors of the healthcare industry. DRG has offices across the world that collect, analyze, and interpret information to provide insight across the healthcare industry.

DRG is currently seeking a Consulting Analyst for its Toronto office (the Millennium Research Group brand). This is an entry-level position that supports project teams and the advisory group by providing research, analysis, and creativity to client engagements, business development initiatives, and internal projects. Consulting Analysts are integral members of the project team who will be required to act both independently and as key parts of a diverse team.

Primary Responsibilities

A successful Consulting Analyst will be a high-energy individual that is able to interact with all levels of project and client teams, provide accurate and timely analysis, and develop valuable results. Successful Consulting Analysts have a strong interest in the business and science of the medical device industry and a track record of academic achievement and personal success.

Consulting Analysts are expected to contribute to the overall success of a project by executing comprehensive research efforts, owning project tasks, conducting interviews, developing accurate product and market forecasts, and synthesizing large amounts of data into discrete stories and assumptions that drive overall recommendations. As they gain experience, Consulting Analysts will be expected to participate on multiple projects, effectively manage time commitments, and provide creative insight to each engagement. Analysts will be expected to learn and develop quickly with guidance and direction from experienced consultants.


  • 1-3 years of experience in consulting or life sciences is required
  • Bachelor degree with a record of academic success (preference for life sciences or business); Masters degree is preferred
  • Demonstrated interest in business development or consulting in the areas of biopharmaceutical and medical technology
  • Proven ability to manage clients, build rapport and present data or deliverables in a confident and professional manner
  • Ability to analyze a wide variety of data, including working with qualitative research, quantitative data and large, complex data sets
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills
  • Superior organizational skills with the ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize tasks
  • Demonstrates flexibility and has a high capacity for change
  • Highly motivated with a strong work ethic and thrives in a fast paced work environment
  • Proficiency with all Microsoft Office Suite products is essential
